The Robinhood wallet, which supports the Ethereum and Polygon networks, is now available to all iOS users worldwide. Android support should arrive later this year.
The self-custody wallet, which has a waiting list of more than 1 million users, can connect to a number of decentralized applications, Robinhood said in a blog post. COMP, MATIC, SHIB, SOL, UNI and USDC tokens are currently supported, and users can also view and store NFTs on both Ethereum and Polygon.
“Users have told us that they love the accessibility and ease of use of the app, and that they really like the ability to independently store and trade their digital assets without network fees on Polygon, ” said Robinhood Crypto Managing Director Johann Kerbrath. “While we understand it’s been a tumultuous few months in the crypto space, we remain committed to our mission to make Robinhood the most trusted, cheapest and easiest-to-use way to access the world of cryptocurrencies.”
Android support is expected to arrive later this year, and the company is also planning features such as a web3 browser, in-app rewards, and support for more coins.
