Tom Lee of Fundstrat Global Advisors sees an opportunity for long-term buy and hold of cryptocurrencies.

However, he draws a line between holding assets in the stock market and in the digital currency segment. The basis of long-term holding of cryptocurrencies is the hope of their recovery.

Tom Lee recommends that investors not sell cryptocurrencies even if their prices collapse.

In a note to clients, Lee said investors should hold on to assets, similar to the stock market. Otherwise, they risk missing out on the opportunity to make huge profits.

Lee argues that the value of Bitcoin is growing in leaps and bounds, and without them the currency would have become cheaper every year since 2013. Tom Lee confirmed the forecast for the price of Bitcoin at $20,000 by the middle of the year and $25,000 by the end of the year.
